Christmas Shop With A Cop
The “Christmas Shop with a Cop” program began as a program of the Monroe Police Charities. This program is conducted by numerous departments across the nation and is designed to benefit underprivileged children at Christmas time.
The "Shop with a Cop" program pairs elementary age children with an area law enforcement officer to go shopping for Christmas gifts for their family and themselves. The children and families are selected with the assistance of the Salvation Army, this program also allows for children to interact with police in a positive setting.
