Assessor's Office Field Reviews
The Assessor’s Office will be conducting city-wide field reviews of residential properties beginning April, 2024, until October, 2024. Observations include knocking on doors, interviewing owner/tenant, leaving letter/form if no answer, walking around house, taking exterior measurements and digital pictures.
Inspections last performed 2011 to 2016 were started over again in 2020. Items to be reviewed include building class, physical condition, foundation “footprint” configuration, visual check of dimensions and story height.
Property record card data will be checked for accuracy. Buildings or other improvements which are on the property record card but not on the property will be removed from the card. Buildings or other improvements which are not on the property record card but are on the property will be added to the card.
