Winter Tax Bills

Winter tax bills for City of Monroe residents are due Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Payments can be made via our secure online payment service, secure drop box located in the parking lot adjacent to City Hall, snail mail postmarked by February 16th, or in-person at the Treasurer's Office.

Please note that City Hall is currently open on a limited basis for payments only - all other business is by appointment.  City Hall will be closed to in-person payments on Monday, February 15th, due to the Presidents Day holiday

There are now more options to view and pay your invoices with the City of Monroe using our simple and secure e-billing and online payment services.  View and pay online with credit card or e-check at your convenience - anytime, anywhere 24/7.

Winter tax bills are sent out at the beginning of December and are due February 16th. After that date, a 5% penalty is added to any delinquent taxes and is applied to the winter bill.  Unpaid taxes are then turned over to the Monroe County Treasurer in March. The City of Monroe cannot accept property tax payments after the delinquent property tax has been turned over to the County.

Visit the Treasurer's tax page for more info on winter and summer taxes.
