2023 - 2027 Master Plan
The City of Monroe has completed its Parks, Trails and Recreation Five-Year Master Plans.
The purpose of the current Parks and Recreation Master Plan is to update and guide recreation planning and development efforts of the City over the next five-year period, through 2027. The Plan identifies existing recreational opportunities, assess the need for future recreational needs, provide direction for the future development of parks and recreational programs, and develop strategies to meet the growing recreational
needs of a changing population.
The Plan is a requirement to remain eligible for state and federal grants administered by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and will help guide the future development of parks and recreation in the City.
