Downtown Social District
Established in November of 2022, the City of Monroe’s Downtown Social District provides both residents and visitors the opportunity to explore restaurants, shops, the Riverwalk and other community amenities while enjoying legal adult beverages outdoors.
The district covers the vast majority of the City’s Central Business District from First Street to the South and Willow St. to the North and along Front and First St. East & West in the heart of Downtown.
Currently, patrons of Amaya's Fresh Mexican Grill, The Michigan Wine & Beer Portal, Mancinos, Beeks, Senor Cactus and Public House Food + Drink may purchase a 16 oz. alcoholic beverage in a non-glass cup featuring both their logo and the Social District logo.
Within a certain area of the Downtown area, patrons can enjoy an alcoholic beverage while and all of the amenities of our wonderful downtown, including pocket parks, the Riverwalk and other public areas.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the District at leisure, while being respectful of other patrons and the environment by properly disposing of your cups after use.
