The Economic Development Review Committee (EDRC) meets on an as needed basis. The board makes recommendations to City Council when there is an opportunity for the city to offer a developer or property owner an economic development incentive to complete a project. Such incentives can include, but are not limited to, Industrial Facilities Tax exemptions, Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Tax exemptions and Commercial Rehabilitation program abatements. Click the link below for a comprehensive list of economic development incentives offered by the City of Monroe.
The EDRC currently consists of the Mayor, the City Manager, a designated Councilperson (or a designated alternate), the directors of the Economic & Community Development and Assessing Departments, the Building Official and the City Attorney.
