The 17th Annual River Raisin Jazz Festival, sponsored by the
Monroe County Convention and Tourism Bureau, and the 15th Annual Downtown Art Fair, sponsored by the
Downtown Monroe Business Network, will be held this weekend, August 11 and 12, in downtown Monroe!
The City of Monroe is proud to partner with the above organizations to make these events possible.
This year’s event is expected to be bigger than ever, with an expected attendance of more than 50,000. The festival is family friendly and features a large selection of great musical along with an assortment of handmade goods and unique art you won't find anywhere else available at the Art Fair.
What would a big event be without good food? The River Raisin Jazz Festival will feature a full food court with enough food options to cater to everyone. If you enjoy a fun and laid back atmosphere with great live music, this festival is for you!

The Jazz Festival will require the closure of Elm Avenue between Borgess Avenue and North Monroe Street, and the Art Fair will require the closure of East First Street between Monroe and Macomb Streets, East Front Street between Monroe and Macomb Streets, and Washington Street between Second and Front Streets.
The downtown street closures will begin sometime Friday night the 10th after 6 P.M. and run through the evening of the 12th, whereas the closure of Elm Avenue should not need to occur until Saturday morning the 11th.
