Other activities include station tours and photo ops. Staff will be on hand to discuss issues of fire safety, demonstrate equipment use, etc.
Back by popular demand: a Coloring Contest for children 6th grade and under! Grand prize winner is a bicycle donated by
Jack's Bicycles in Downtown Monroe, Michigan.
Complementary seasonal refreshments of cider and doughnuts will also be available.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend to meet and greet neighborhood emergency response personnel.

National Fire Prevention Week is observed in the United States and Canada each year during the week of October 9th in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire, which began on October 8, 1871, and caused devastating damage. The first Presidential proclamation of Fire Prevention Week was made in 1925 by President Calvin Coolidge.
