The Monroe Downtown Development Authority extends an invitation to the greater Monroe community to join in the official kickoff of the holiday season in Downtown Monroe at its Tree Lighting event on Saturday, November 17.
Mayor Robert Clark will preside over the festivities, which begin at 5:30PM and conclude after the tree lighting ceremony at 7PM.
A complete itinerary is as follows:
5:30-7:30pm:
- Live entertainment by the Loranger Square Pavilion by DJ Michael Madison
- Complimentary horse and carriage rides
- Visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Run Hip
- Food Trucks in Loranger Square
- Warming center and hot cocoa in the First Presbyterian Church
7:00pm: Tree Lighting in Loranger Square
