Memorial Day Holiday Observance
City offices will be closed Monday, May 29th, 2023, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
A time for remembrance, reflection, and respect, may we never forget the men and women who gave their lives in service for love of country.
We will reopen Tuesday, May 30th, at 8:30 AM to accommodate your city business needs.
Trash and recycling schedules will be delayed by ONE day starting Monday, Memorial Day, for the remainder of next week. For a full list of holidays that delay refuse collection,

Additionally, The City of Monroe new refuse contract with Stevens Disposal begins Monday, July 3, 2023 and runs through June 30, 2028. There will be some changes in service, and information will be forthcoming, including a direct mailing, email communication for our
app subscribers, and website updates. Residents should contact the Department of Public Services (DPS) at 734-384-9125 with any questions.
